Protect and restore Sierra watersheds

Approach

Support investment in ecosystem restoration projects

  • Educate policymakers and the general public on the importance of Sierra watersheds to downstream urban water users and the risks that these watersheds face in light of rising temperatures, declining snowpack, and persistent drought
  • Foster stronger connections between California's urban and rural regions to stimulate a stronger and more diverse voice for the Sierra's watersheds in Sacramento
  • Build public-private networks to stimulate investment in socially and economically beneficial watershed restoration projects
